Retail Mode Guide

Retail mode is designed for stores, boutiques, pharmacies, and any business that handles physical products with variants, barcodes, and detailed inventory.

Activating Retail Mode

The mode is set when the tenant is created. Contact support if you need to switch modes. When Retail is activated, you get access to:

  • Variant management (sizes, colors, etc.)
  • Custom attributes
  • Barcode scanning
  • Quotes
  • Inventory lookup by code
  • Purchase entry via DGI invoice QR code

Product Variants

Variants let you manage a single product in different presentations.

Creating Variants

  1. Open a product in Products.
  2. In the Variants section, press “Add Variant”.
  3. Define the attributes:
    • Size: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
    • Color: Red, Blue, Black, etc.
    • Material: Cotton, Polyester, etc.
    • Other: Any custom attribute.
  4. Each variant can have its own:
    • Unique SKU.
    • Barcode.
    • Price (if it differs from the base price).
    • Independent stock level.

Custom Attributes

Attributes define the variation dimensions for your products.

Managing Attributes

  1. Go to Attributes in the side menu.
  2. Create or edit attribute types.
  3. NAOS includes common presets (clothing sizes, colors, etc.).

Barcode Scanning

On the Sales Screen

  • Connect a barcode reader (USB or Bluetooth).
  • Scan the code — the product is added to the cart automatically.
  • If the code matches a specific variant, that variant is added.

On the Mobile App

  • Use the device camera as a scanner.
  • Compatible with EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 128, and QR codes.

Inventory Lookup by Code

From the mobile app (Inventory Lookup screen):

  1. Scan a product’s barcode.
  2. View available stock by branch and variant.
  3. Useful for floor staff who need to check availability.

Purchase Entry via DGI QR Code

To receive merchandise using electronic invoices:

  1. Open Purchase Entry in the app.
  2. Scan the QR code on your supplier’s invoice.
  3. The system extracts the data from the DGI document.
  4. Review the products and quantities.
  5. Confirm the entry — inventory is updated automatically.
