Customers and Loyalty Program

The Customers module lets you maintain a complete record of your buyers, verify their tax information with the DGI, and build loyalty through a points-and-tiers program.

Customer Registration

Creating a Customer

  1. Go to Customers in the side menu.
  2. Press “New Customer”.
  3. Fill in the fields:
    • Name (required)
    • Phone and Email
    • ID / RUC (for electronic invoicing)

Tax Information (DGI)

To issue electronic invoices under the customer’s name:

  • Fiscal Name: Name registered with the DGI.
  • RUC: Taxpayer identification number.
  • DV: Verification digit.
  • RUC Type: Individual, Corporate, or Foreign.

Searching for Customers

  • Use the search bar to find customers by name, phone, or ID.
  • Filter by loyalty tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum).

Customer Groups

Organize your customers into groups to apply segmented discounts or promotions:

  • Employees — Special discounts for your team.
  • Wholesalers — Differentiated pricing by volume.
  • VIP — Exclusive benefits.
  • Create custom groups based on your business needs.

Loyalty Program

Set up a loyalty program to reward your frequent customers.

General Configuration

Go to Loyalty in the side menu to configure:

  1. Earning Rules:

    • Define how many points are awarded per dollar spent.
    • Example: 1 point per $1.00 in purchases.
  2. Tiers:

  3. Redemption:

    • Define the redemption value (e.g., 100 points = $1.00 discount).
    • Set a minimum number of points required to redeem.

Earning Points

  • Points are accumulated automatically when a sale is completed with an identified customer.
  • The cashier can see the customer’s points on the sales screen.

Redeeming Points

  1. On the sales screen, select the customer.
  2. Press “Redeem Points”.
  3. The system shows the available points and the equivalent discount.
  4. Confirm the redemption — the discount is applied to the total.

Statistics

On the Loyalty page you can view:

  • Total enrolled customers.
  • Distribution by tier.
  • Points issued vs. redeemed.
  • Most active customers.

Customer History

When you open a customer’s details, you can see:

  • Total spent historically.
  • Accumulated points and current tier.
  • Recent purchase history.
  • Last visit.
