Salon Mode Guide

Salon mode is designed for beauty salons, barbershops, spas, aesthetic clinics, and any service-based business with scheduled appointments and specialized staff.

Activating Salon Mode

The mode is set when the tenant is created. When Salon is activated, you get:

  • Service management with duration
  • Appointment calendar
  • Staff assignment to services
  • Staff schedules and shifts
  • Deposit collection for reservations
  • Workstations

Services

Services replace “products” in Salon mode.

Creating a Service

  1. Go to Services in the side menu.
  2. Press “New Service”.
  3. Fill in:
    • Name of the service (e.g., “Haircut”).
    • Category (e.g., “Hair”, “Nails”, “Facial”).
    • Base price.
    • Estimated duration (e.g., 45 minutes).
    • Service description.
    • Representative image.
  4. Assign which staff members can perform this service.

Service Categories

Organize your services by category:

  1. Go to Service Categories.
  2. Create categories such as:
    • Hair
    • Nails & Manicure
    • Facial Treatments
    • Massages
    • Waxing

Staff and Schedules

Staff Management

Team members who handle appointments are managed from Users with a specific role:

  • Assign the services each member can perform.
  • Define workstations.

Work Schedules

In Staff Schedules, configure:

  1. Weekly Template:

    • Set clock-in and clock-out times for each day.
    • Mark days off.
  2. Breaks:

    • Configure breaks (lunch, rest).
    • Breaks automatically block appointment slots.
  3. Exceptions:

    • Vacations or special days.
    • Extended hours for specific dates.

Appointments and Reservations

Creating an Appointment

  1. Go to Reservations.
  2. On the schedule grid, tap the desired slot.
  3. Select:
    • Service to be performed.
    • Assigned staff member (only those available).
    • Customer.
  4. The duration is calculated automatically based on the service.
  5. Confirm the appointment.

Calendar View

The grid displays:

  • Columns for each staff member.
  • Rows for time blocks (30 minutes).
  • Colors based on appointment status.
  • Real-time availability (taking schedules and breaks into account).

Deposits

For high-value services, configure required deposits:

  • Set a percentage or fixed amount as the deposit.
  • The deposit is collected when the appointment is booked.
  • It is deducted from the total at the time of service.

Service Flow

  1. Book — The customer schedules an appointment.
  2. Confirm — The appointment is confirmed (manually or automatically).
  3. Check-in — The customer arrives and checks in.
  4. In Service — The staff member attends to the customer.
  5. Charge — Payment is processed upon completion.
  6. Complete — The appointment is closed.

Commissions and Tips

  • Tips are recorded per service and staff member.
  • In Reports > Tips, you can generate the settlement report.
  • Service commissions are configured per staff member or as a global percentage.
